Diamond and Kotobukiya announced at Toy Fair this year that they have the Indiana Jones license.  Thankfully, they are not going to be limited to just making items for he new movie as some fans have feared.  The first releass will be this impressive Indiana Jones Artfx Vinly Snap Fit Statue.  If you have never heard the privledge of checking out Kotobukiya’s line of snap fit vinyl statues, they are very well made.  The sculpt and paint application is top notch.

This first release is going back to Raiders of the Lost Ark.  It’s 1/7th scale and the figure stands 10 2/3″ tall.  It comes in several pieces but it’s extremely easy to put together.  It comes with a variety of accessories including the idol, pistol, whip and removeable hat.  Jones is sculpted by Kouei Matsumoto, and is on a display base depicting the rocky floor of the Peruvian temple.

One of the companies we met with at Toy Fair this year was Mezco Toyz which has always been one of our favorite manufacturers. We got to check out all the Hellboy II merchandise that they will be coming out with this year. These action figures will be based on the upcoming movie, Hellboy II The Golden Army. I have been a fan of the comics for a long time now and loved the first movie. Mezco has always done a great job with this license, whether they were making figures based on the movie or the very impressive line that was based on the comic book art. This new series lives up to the old.

This is one of the more impressive items that we saw at Toy Fair this year. Designed by Kotobukiya and distributed by Diamond, this amazingly detailed replica of the popular Star Wars x-wing, is so much better in person. The pictures we have found just don’t do the intricate details justice. This item is similar in quality to the old Code 3 ship replicas but it’s so much more. It’s more or less a detailed model that let’s you take apart different aspects of the x-wing and see it’s inner workings. It’s based on the concept of cross-sectional drawings.

The X-Wing measures 12 2/3″ long, in popular 1/35 military scale, and has “cutaway” parts that remove to reveal the inner workings. It features over 100 removable parts to help you create a full “cross section” in three dimensions! The craft is comprised of six sets of component parts:
