Battlestar Galactica Action Figures
Diamond Select Toys has announced that it has acquired the license to create action figures for the sci-fi channel’s extremely popular Battlestar Galactica TV series. This doesn’t come as a huge surprise as they have made 2 series of the Stargate SG-1 figures so far with some decent success.
Diamond has already produced Battlestar Galactica merchandise with their popular minimate line but this license will allow them to expand their Battlestar offerings. With Majestic Studios creating 12″ figures for the series, we are assuming Diamond is going to make these figures for a 6″ line.

Sketches shown earlier this week at the 2007 UK ToyFair show Captain Lee Adama ("Apollo") in flight suit standing 7 1/8 inches, and Number Six standing 7 1/4 inches.
The sketches also reveal the logo of Art Asylum, so these sculpts will be most similar to Diamond’s Star Trek line (which is also by Art Asylum), rather than to the Stargate line (which is by Plan B).
