Star Wars X-Wing Cross Section Replica
Thursday, February 28th, 2008
This is one of the more impressive items that we saw at Toy Fair this year. Designed by Kotobukiya and distributed by Diamond, this amazingly detailed replica of the popular Star Wars x-wing, is so much better in person. The pictures we have found just don’t do the intricate details justice. This item is similar in quality to the old Code 3 ship replicas but it’s so much more. It’s more or less a detailed model that let’s you take apart different aspects of the x-wing and see it’s inner workings. It’s based on the concept of cross-sectional drawings.
The X-Wing measures 12 2/3″ long, in popular 1/35 military scale, and has “cutaway” parts that remove to reveal the inner workings. It features over 100 removable parts to help you create a full “cross section” in three dimensions! The craft is comprised of six sets of component parts:
- WING SET
- WING SHAFT SET A
- WING SHAFT SET B
- NOSE CONE SET
- COCKPIT SET
- BODY SET
The retail price is $250 and we are currently offering it for pre-order at $237.50. We will likely only be able to offer it at the discounted rate while it is up for pre-order, once it’s stocked. You can check it out at Star Wars X-Wing Cross Section Set
